Just Magnolia week 31

Click on the images to make the pics bigger if you wish.

This week on the Just Magnolia challenge is a sketch by Mina. I love sketches :)

For this card I used my Tilda with Xmas tree stamp and Holly leaves which I bought from the NEC. Coloured them with distress inks. The berries have added shine with blobbing glossy accents onto them and the bottom of the image has a dusting of diamond dust to make it look like Tilda is standing on an icy path.
For the sentiment I layered card up added some shhhh ....peel offs.... and slotted it into a plastic tab that I have had for years sitting in a box. The berries and ribbon are from a local garden centre. I have no idea who the paper is by (again I have had it for yonks).

Hunky.........

I was asked to make a Birthday card for a young man who is soon to be 60. Well here it is...... I have picture of the birthday boys face to pop on top of the face on the digi image later but didnt think he would appreciate his face plastered over the www :)

Anyway I got the star card template from the cutting cafe as well as the Happy Birthday circle. The digital image is from Victoria case Art designs. The image was coloured with copics. The paper is cosmo cricket.

Just Magnolia & ABC Challenge

I am not sure whether this card is Zingy enough for the Magnolia challenge or 'flying' enough for the ABC Challenge - lets hope so. In real life the orange is really vibrant. I made a round card for a change, then hand cut two hearts and stiched them together and gave them a spritz of glimmer mist ( Pearl). The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch that have either been coated in glossy accents crackle glaze or glitter. The magnolia image has been coloured with distress inks and again the hearts covered on glossy accents.

Image- Magnolia
Paper- Bo Bunny
Cardstock - su in regal rose and pumkin pie
Tools- Sewing machine, MS butterfly punch
Embellishments - glitter, glossy accents, flat backed blue pearls, ribbon, tulle and twine. Heart charm

Friday sketchers 72

I love these sketches especially this one. I have used my faves at the moment, Daisy D papers, the fantastic Digital Pencil Too digital image, hand cut hearts and machine stitching(which is a must for me). Again I added flock to the nappy for texture and a baby pin for good measure and to hold it all up !

40 something

A friend asked me to make a 40th Birthday card. She asked for elegant :o I hope she will be happy with this card.I embossed a stamping up Manhatten flower image onto whitewashed cardstock then sanded the image to let the background colour come through. Although you cant see much of the patterned paper it is a beautiful blue rose on a cream background.
