Oh to be a princess

Well its been a long time since I have posted, I blame it on watching Big Brother and completing a marathon card making session for  someone who is getting married next year.

This card was made using another of Lori Boyds digital images. If you have never seen her images go and have a look you will be in for one lovely surprise x I love that you can make them as big or as small as you want.  I coloured the image with copics and added the dots on her nightgown with a white gel pen. I added glitter to her cute bunny slippers.

I used the large scallop die from My Favourite Things to cut out 2 lots of scallops from 2 different patterend papers. The twine is from The ribbon Girl.

Kiss me ......

Kiss me I'm a prince...... Both stamps are by Magnolia. I stamped the frog three times onto water colour paper and coloured it with distress inks.  I layered it with foam pads. I inked the edge of th epaper with chalk inks. Sorry but I have thrown the make of the patterned paper away so have no idea who it is by.

Sugar and Spice

Sugar and spice and all things nice. What do I think is nice about this card, well I love the colours of the patterned paper by nitwits, green and pink are one of my favourite colour combinations. I love the digi image by Lori Boyd  which I bought from Claudia and Company and the delicate pink ribbon from the ribbon girl. I coloured the image with copics and added glitter on the nappy for a little sparkle.

Paper bag

Its my youngest boys 21st Birthday next week. His nanna asked me to find something to put his present in so I zupped up a brown paper bag.  I covered it with patterned paper which I machine stitched and stuck the shaped edge onto it.  I added 2 sticky plastic numbers depicting number 21. The two blue chipboard numbers have been coloured with alcohol inks  covered with glossy accents. To tie it all together I used twine and ribbon from The ribbon girl. Hope mum likes it and Joe loves the content which I cannot reveal just in case x

Nearly Christmas ?

Circle Easel Card
Well you can never start to get ready too early can you ? For this simple circle easel card I used Kraft cardstock, cosmo cricket patterned paper and SU card. The image is only part of the stamp, the full image wouldnt fit so I masked half of it off. I stamped the image onto water colour paper and coloured it with distress inks, then added glamour dust to parts of the image for a little bit of sparkle. I used the gorgeous ribbon from
The Ribbon Girl as part of the card design.

If you haven't already been to have a look at what Andrea and Mary have in stock I can truly recommend popping over to have a look. Their ribbons and twine is to die for and coming soon beautiful polka dot buttons..........................

To ewe....

I had a little trip out of Town at the weekend and just by chance popped into the Town's craft shop. I bought this stamp by wild rose studio and patterned paper by Daisy D. I coloured the stamped image with copics and added liquid applique to the body to emmulate the sheeps wool. Again I got my little sewing machine out and stitched the edges.
The gorgeous ribbon and decorative pin is from the Ribbon Girl  who stocks lots of scrummy ribbons for all occasions.

New ribbon store in Town .....

Take a look at the ribbon on this card...........

My wonderful friend  Andrea and her mum Mary have  just opened a new ribbon store called  The Ribbon Girl specialising in supplying small quantities of ribbons and accessories (including diamante buckle/ribbon slides). Stocking only the best quality ribbons such as May Arts, Berisford, Club Green, etc in satin, organza, spots, stripes, checks, gingham, lurex and grosgrain. They are happy to supply as little as one metre (or one yard if applicable)!

I have been lucky enough to be asked to showcase their products so expect to see lots of projects  made with their products.

Have a pop over and see what gorgeous goodies they have on offer. I can guarantee that you will get  a wonderful  friendly service from them being two of the loveliest people I have the pleasure to know.
