Card I made for the Just Magnolia challenge - a sketch by Bev

Unfortunately I cannot remember what paper I used - I did have it written down but Hubby has had a splurge with the cleaning and I think its on the way to the landfill site !

Anyway apart from the unnamed patterned paper I used flowers from stash which I have glittered and the gorgeous magnolia stamp from the Autumn 09 collection. I have coloured it with distress inks. I cannot remember the colours as i mix and matched to try and match the same colour of the paper.

ABC challenge blog DT Call

The ABC Challenge blog
are looking for new members for their team as both Dawn and Cathy (whom help set up the challenge blog with Vicky) have stood down due to family commitments.

To be in with a chance entrants have to:

1. Post about this on your blog and link it back.

2. Choose your 3 favourite cards and add them to the post. Please show in these cards what you determine your style to be.

This is a 6 month post to be extended if you and the team are happy with your work. You must be prepared to comment on at least a 1/3 of all entrants and have your card ready to be posted 24 hours before the challenge goes live. We have the topics prepared for the rest of the alphabet so it is ok to prepare in advance.

The winners will be announced in 2 weeks time, when the alphabet will continue with E.

All entrants will be put in a draw to win a mystery prize.

Well here are my three fav cards. I dont think that I have a definate style, I just go with the flow , but what I can say is that I think I pay attention to detail.

Purple Butterflies

A few weeks ago I bought a white ink pad from papertrey Ink. Having tried one other white ink pad before , with rubbish results, I wasnt convinced that you could get good results ...until this beauty. It is fab, fantastic quality and a good colour.

Just Magnolia - Week 22

This week the challenge was to use embossing on a card along with a magnolia image of course, cant believe I just stated the obvious there :)
Anyway back to the card, I used my favourite Magnolia stamp, coloured her with distress inks and glittered the hearts she is holding in her apron. The layered card and patterned paper has been machine stitched and a swirly stamp stamped over it to 'fill'it out a bit. I added the flowers , ribbon and heart pin. The heart was hand drawn and cut onto whitewash core dinations cardstock. This was embossed in the cuttlebug and sanded to let the red shine through.
Materials used:
PP - Cosmo cricket
Cardstock - whitewash coredinations and bazzill
Stamp - Magnolia
Inks - Distress inks
Tools - sewing machine, cuttlebug
Embellishments - ribbon, flowers and heart pin from my stash .
So again I used
