Friday Sketchers
Click on the picture to make it bigger....
Here is a card that I made especially with the Friday Sketchers challenge in mind. Not only did I follow the sketch but also the optional colours which were blue and orange.
I used an image from digital pencils too called Soaking up the Joy, coloured it with distress inks. I added a few dots and lines of stickles for a bit of glitz followed by a good spray of Glimmer mist. Most of the cards edges have been machine stitched in orange to continue the orange and blue theme.
Materials used:
PP - Basic Grey and Cosmo cricket,
Digital Image - Digital Pencil Too
Glimmer mist - Old Lace
Distress inks
Buttons from stash as is the lace and ribbon
Charm from Hobby House

A card made for two challenge blogs Just Magnolia and Just Magnolia Too.This weeks challenge on Just Magnolia is asking for cards that have bows and buttons and Just Magnolia Too is asking for creations that have a 3D affect, I just scraped in in the nick of time for this challenge !
Anyway I thought I would try my hand at colouring with distress inks after I went to a class run by Bev Rochester. I cant get over how quick it is colouring with these inks. Now that must be a bonus especially when life gets in the way and there is never enough time to do the things we want to do....
Materials used:
Magnolia stamp
Kraft card
MM patterned paper
Prima flowers
Distress inks
Buttons, Ribbon, charm and plastic token charm from stash
Twine from Papertrey
Stickles( on hearts)
Machine stitching

A card I made for the Just Magnolia Challenge blog. This week we all had to follow a sketch by Martine. I wish I knew how to put the picture of the sketch on here but I don't know how to so I am afraid you will have to take my word for it that my card resembles the sketch (well of some sort).
I am lucky enough (dont think dh calls it lucky !) to live 5 mins away from the Hobby House in Tetney. Whenever I pop in I cant resist buying far too much but as you can see i do use it ! Well some of the time.
The tag is removable......
stuff I used to make the card:
Patterned paper - My Minds eye
Stamp- Magnolia coloured with copics I also added a bit of flock and glitter to their tops and a fluffy pom pom on top of the hat
Punches- MS snowflake and icicle
other miscellaneous bits and bobs to finish the card off.

Distressed- the card not me !!
I am really having fun on my 2 weeks off work, what with blog hoppingand entering challenges. What more can a girl ask for ? well perhaps a trolley dash around my favourite craft store :)
This weeks Magnolia challenge was calling to make a card or project that has been distressed in some way or another. For this card I used the following:
Magnolia cupcake stamp coloured with copics and added a little bit of glossy accents on the heart sprinkles, a brown tag layered with bazzil cardstock and machine stitched several times, K & Co patterned paper, ribbon and used an ek punch for the swirl.
All edges have been inked and distressed. I am going to make an insert with a cupcake recipe printed on it. TFL
