Butterfly and Beads

A card I made following Claudia's sketch on Friday Sketchers. I twisted the sketch round on its side .  The butterfly stamp was stamped on kraft cardstock with brown stazon then glossed with glossy accents, while this was wet I added a few beads. The antennaes are wire with a bead threaded onto it. I have had the punched branches for ages they were punched out of plain white paper then coloured with a copic pen.
The ribbon was from a Liz Earle gift I got for Christmas.

I apologise for the terrible quality of picture, its taken under artificial light tonight,, it is more turquoise in real life.
Ingredients:
Cardstock - SU  Kraft and sage shadow , corregated card from my stash
Patterned paper - Cosmo cricket, Jolly by Golly
Miscellaneous - Papertrey button and twine, butterfly stamps (make unknown) Brown stazon, glossy accents, beads, wire, ribbon from a gift I was given at Christmas (Liz Earle), Branch punch coloured with copics to match the paper.
Tools- Machine stitching

60th

A card I made for a friends mother. I used Gingerbread  Tilda but instead of colouring the gingerbread  as if it was a gingerbread biscuit I coloured it red as if it was a heart :) The bow and hearts stamp is one of the new Magnolia collection. All coloured with distress inks, lots of machine stitching and glitter. The chipboard 60 is mounted on acetate to make it jump out.

Copic Challenge 43

This week I was a guest designer for the http://copicscolourchallenge.blogspot.com/

Colours we were asked to use were Sarah's choice which were BV23, R59 and YG63.

I used one of the fabulous Magnolia stamps. The card shape is from the Cutting Cafe http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/ . It is covered in Magnolia papers with the edge machine stitched. I hand cut a star shape, again covered it in Magnolia paper and machine stitched the edges. I slotted check ribbom through the card , tied it into a bow and added a hand cut star coloured with R 59 copic pen then tied two little bells onto it  with string. I mounted the large star and again mounted the magnolia image onto it. I made another little star, attached it to wire then coloured it with YG63 and sprinkled it with glamour dust.

I would like to thank the copic challenge blog for this opportunity .

I made a little pocket on the bottom fold and slotted in a piece of card stamped with Merry Christmas.

Just Magnolia week 31

Click on the images to make the pics bigger if you wish.

This week on the Just Magnolia challenge is a sketch by Mina. I love sketches :)

For this card I used my Tilda with Xmas tree stamp and Holly leaves which I bought from the NEC. Coloured them with distress inks. The berries have added shine with blobbing glossy accents onto them and the bottom of the image has a dusting of diamond dust to make it look like Tilda is standing on an icy path.
For the sentiment I layered card up added some shhhh ....peel offs.... and slotted it into a plastic tab that I have had for years sitting in a box. The berries and ribbon are from a local garden centre. I have no idea who the paper is by (again I have had it for yonks).

Just Magnolia & ABC Challenge

I am not sure whether this card is Zingy enough for the Magnolia challenge or 'flying' enough for the ABC Challenge - lets hope so. In real life the orange is really vibrant. I made a round card for a change, then hand cut two hearts and stiched them together and gave them a spritz of glimmer mist ( Pearl). The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch that have either been coated in glossy accents crackle glaze or glitter. The magnolia image has been coloured with distress inks and again the hearts covered on glossy accents.

Image- Magnolia
Paper- Bo Bunny
Cardstock - su in regal rose and pumkin pie
Tools- Sewing machine, MS butterfly punch
Embellishments - glitter, glossy accents, flat backed blue pearls, ribbon, tulle and twine. Heart charm

Just Magnolia

Card I made for the Just Magnolia challenge - a sketch by Bev

Unfortunately I cannot remember what paper I used - I did have it written down but Hubby has had a splurge with the cleaning and I think its on the way to the landfill site !

Anyway apart from the unnamed patterned paper I used flowers from stash which I have glittered and the gorgeous magnolia stamp from the Autumn 09 collection. I have coloured it with distress inks. I cannot remember the colours as i mix and matched to try and match the same colour of the paper.
